RIBBON CUTTING AND OPEN HOUSE FOR THE EARLY LEARNING CENTER AT KOREMATSU ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
Posted on 09/14/2021
On Monday, September 13 at 5:00 p.m., the Davis Joint Unified School District (DJUSD) celebrated the opening of the new Early Learning Center (ELC) preschool campus at Korematsu Elementary.

The health, well-being and safety of our students, staff and guests are vital priorities for DJUSD. As such, the ribbon cutting was limited to the DJUSD Board of Education, Interim Superintendent Matt Best, the Citizen's Bond Oversight Committee, select DJUSD staff members as well as architect and construction managers.

This Bond Project includes seven classrooms, a playground, an expanded parking lot and the new student drop-off/pick-up area that will be available to all students campus-wide. While two DJUSD preschool classes will remain at the Valley Oak campus, the new ELC will increase the total number of DJUSD preschool classrooms by two.
