Superintendent BestWhat a great visit from the U.S. Department of Education and the California Department of Education. Dual Language Immersion at César Chávez Elementary and Marguerite Montgomery Elementary was on full display for our distinguished visitors SEAL - Sobrato Early Academic Language. Thank you to Montserrat Garibay, U.S. Department of Education Assistant Deputy Secretary and Sarah Neville-Morgan, California Department of Education Deputy Superintendent of the Opportunities for All Branch, and their teams for choosing to visit our classrooms on their California school tour.

Superintendent Best shared, "It's exciting to witness our immersion and two-way bilingual students engaging in our DJUSD Graduate Profile competencies - collaborating, critical thinking and sharing our earliest demonstrations of civic and cultural awareness."
