Parent Quarantine Liaisons Needed

The District is seeking part-time (usually five hours per week on average) Parent Quarantine Liaisons at each Elementary campus. The Quarantine Liaison would serve as a liaison between parents/guardians whose student(s) are on a home or school (modified) quarantine to answer questions and/or concerns regarding District procedures. In this position, they would also refer higher-level concerns and questions to District staff.

The Liaison must be able to:

  • Understand the District quarantine procedures, including Federal, State, County and local guidelines.
  • Handle difficult situations with diplomacy and tact.
  • Convey complex information regarding District quarantine procedures that are derived from state and county guidelines/mandates.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Provide feedback to District staff regarding published information and ways to improve District systems.
  • Direct parents to published District resources.
  • Contact District staff with questions outside the scope of District procedures or involving private medical information.
  • Refer parents/guardians to District staff as necessary.
  • Must stay up to date on published information and guidance regarding quarantine procedures.
  • Not speculate about a circumstance, but seek clarifying information from District staff.

The District will pay a stipend of $1,000 per year, a phone stipend of $50 per month (or a Google Voice account) and provide a District email address. The stipend may be prorated for time served. Fluent Spanish speakers are highly encouraged to apply and interpretation services are available.
